Asset bulk actions

There are certain actions which you can perform in bulk for assets instead of updating that data individually for all the assets. The following are the bulk actions that you can carry out on assets:

• Add Tags
• Business Sensitivity
• Asset Exposure
• Assignee
• Archive
• Edit Fields

Add Tags Bulk Action

If you need to add a tag to multiple assets at once, you can use this option.

• Select the assets for which you need to add a tag.
• Click on 'Add tags'
  
  
  
  
• Enter your tags and click on 'Add'.
  
  
  
  

Business Sensitivity Bulk Action

If you need to update the business sensitivity of multiple assets at once, you can use this option.

• Select the assets for which you need to update the business sensitivity.
• Click on 'Business sensitivity'.
  
  
  
  
• Select the business sensitivity and click on 'Save'.
  
  
  
  

Asset Exposure Bulk Action

If you need to update the asset exposure of multiple assets at once, you can use this option.

• Select the assets for which you need to update the exposure.
• Click on 'Asset Exposure'.
  
  
  
  
• Select the asset exposure and click on 'Save'.
  
  

Assignee Bulk Action

If you need to assign multiple assets to one or more users, you can use this option. You can also use this option if you need to unassign multiple assets for one or more users.

• Select the assets for which you need to assign/unassign users.
• Click on 'Assignee'.
  
  
  
  
• Select whether you need to 'Assign' or 'Unassign' users.
• Select the users and click on 'Okay', depending on the action you have selected users will either be assigned or unassigned.
  
  

Archive Assets Bulk Action

If you need to archive multiple assets at once, you can use this option.

• Select the assets which you need to archive.
• Click on options and click on 'Archive'.
  
  
  
  
• You will be presented with a confirmation pop up. If you wish to go ahead and archive the assets, click on 'Archive'.
  
  

NOTE: The archived assets will be stored on strobes according to the data retention policy which you have set up. More about data retention here.

Edit Fields Bulk Action

If you need to bulk edit the custom fields of an asset, you can use this option.

• Select the assets for which you need to bulk edit the value of a custom field.

• Choose the field for which you need to perform the action, enter the relevant details and click on 'Save'.
