Usage Flow Instructions
- Navigate to the Assets page.
- Click on 'Add New Asset'.
- Select the 'Asset type' that you need to add.
- Based on the type of asset which you have selected, the relevant fields against those assets will be available.
Adding a Web Asset
If you have selected the asset type as Web, the following are the fields that will be provided to you:
Mandatory Fields:
- Asset name - Provide a unique name for the asset which you need to add. The same asset name cannot be used more than once.
- Application URL - Provide the URL of the web application.
- Business Sensitivity - Provide the business sensitivity of the asset. Under business sensitivity you will be provided with five options and you can only choose one out of the five. The following are the options:
- Critical
- High
- Medium
- Low
- None
- Asset Exposure - Provide the exposure of the asset over the internet. You will be provided with two options and you can only choose one. The following are the options:
- Public
- Private
- Any mandatory custom fields which you have created. More about custom fields here.
Optional Fields:
- Tags - Provide any tags that you need to add to the asset.
- Any optional custom fields which you have created.
Once you have provided the relevant information, click on 'Submit' and the asset will be created.
Adding a Mobile Asset
If you have selected the asset type as Mobile, the following are the fields that will be provided to you:
Mandatory Fields:
- Asset name - Provide a unique name for the asset which you need to add. The same asset name cannot be used more than once.
- Package - Provide the package name of the APK or IPA file which you need to add as an asset.
- Business Sensitivity - Provide the business sensitivity of the asset. Under business sensitivity you will be provided with five options and you can only choose one out of the five. The following are the options:
- Critical
- High
- Medium
- Low
- None
- Asset Exposure - Provide the exposure of the asset over the internet. You will be provided with two options and you can only choose one. The following are the options:
- Public
- Private
- Any mandatory custom fields which you have created. More about custom fields here.
Optional Fields:
- Tags - Provide any tags that you need to add to the asset.
- Any optional custom fields which you have created.
Once you have provided the relevant information, click on 'Submit' and the asset will be created.
Adding Network Asset
There are a couple of options while adding a network asset.
- Adding a Single IP.
- Adding Multiple IPs
Adding a Single IP
While adding a single IP network asset, the following are the fields that will be provided to you:
Mandatory Fields:
- Asset name - Provide a unique name for the asset which you need to add. The same asset name cannot be used more than once.
- IP address - Provide a valid IP address for the asset which you need to add.
- Business Sensitivity - Provide the business sensitivity of the asset. Under business sensitivity you will be provided with five options and you can only choose one out of the five. The following are the options:
- Critical
- High
- Medium
- Low
- None
- Asset Exposure - Provide the exposure of the asset over the internet. You will be provided with two options and you can only choose one. The following are the options:
- Public
- Private
- Any mandatory custom fields which you have created. More about custom fields here.
Optional Fields:
- Mac address - Provide a valid mac address for the asset which you need to add.
- Host name - Provide the hostname of the asset which you need to add.
- OS - Provide the Operating system of the asset which you need to add.
- CPE - Provide the CPE of the asset which you need to add.
- Tags - Provide any tags that you need to add to the asset.
- Any optional custom fields which you have created.
Once you have provided the relevant information, click on 'Submit' and the asset will be created.
Adding Multiple IPs
If you are using the multiple IPs option, then the asset names will be the same as the ip addresses provided. While adding multiple IPs, the following are the fields that will be provided to you:
Mandatory Fields:
- Target IP(s) - You can provide one or more IPs. In this field you can enter multiple IPs separated by commas, a range of IPs, or a subnet.
- Business Sensitivity - Provide the business sensitivity of the asset. Under business sensitivity you will be provided with five options and you can only choose one out of the five. The following are the options:
- Critical
- High
- Medium
- Low
- None
- Asset Exposure - Provide the exposure of the asset over the internet. You will be provided with two options and you can only choose one. The following are the options:
- Public
- Private
- Any mandatory custom fields which you have created. More about custom fields here.
Optional Fields:
- Exclude IP(s) - You can provide the IPs which you do not want to be added as assets.
- Tags - Provide any tags that you need to add to the asset.
- Any optional custom fields which you have created.
Once you have provided the relevant information, click on 'Submit' and the assets will be created.
Adding a Cloud Asset
If you have selected the asset type as Mobile, the following are the fields that will be provided to you:
Mandatory Fields:
- Asset name - Provide a unique name for the asset which you need to add. The same asset name cannot be used more than once.
- Cloud Type - Provide the cloud type. Under cloud type you will be presented with four options and by default the value of cloud type will be 'Others'. The following are the options:
- Amazon Web Services
- GCP
- Azure
- Others
- Business Sensitivity - Provide the business sensitivity of the asset. Under business sensitivity you will be provided with five options and you can only choose one out of the five. The following are the options:
- Critical
- High
- Medium
- Low
- None
- Any mandatory custom fields which you have created. More about custom fields here.
Optional Fields:
- Tags - Provide any tags that you need to add to the asset.
- Any optional custom fields which you have created.
Once you have provided the relevant information, click on 'Submit' and the assets will be created.
