Sync Assets & Vulnerabilities from Snyk Dashboard to Strobes
This article explains how you can sync assets and vulnerabilities from your Snyk dashboard to Strobes. In order to sync assets and vulnerabilities, you will have to configure snyk credentials first. More about how to configure snyk credentials here.
Follow the steps below to set up and execute the Snyk sync:
Step 1: Navigate to the Connector
- Go to Settings in the Strobes dashboard.
- Click on Connectors > Static Security Scanners.
- Select Snyk Connector.
Step 2: Enter Sync Configuration
You’ll now be prompted to enter configuration details for the sync:
- Configuration Name: Provide a recognizable name for this integration.
- Snyk Credential: Select the previously saved Snyk credential from the dropdown.
- Agent: Choose Strobes Default Agent.
- Baseline: Select a baseline to log the incoming vulnerabilities.
Click Next to continue.
Step 3: Select Organization & Frequency
- Choose the Snyk Organization you want to sync with. This list is fetched from your Snyk account.
- Define the Sync Frequency (e.g., daily, weekly) based on how often you want to update the data in Strobes.
Click Next.
Step 4: Optional – Add Tracking & Notification Tools
- If needed, integrate with any Tracking or Notification tools (e.g., Jira, Slack) for alerting or ticketing workflows.
- Click Submit once done.
Step 5: Start the Sync
Your Snyk sync configuration is now set up.
- To start syncing immediately, click Sync Now.
- Strobes will begin pulling in the assets and associated vulnerabilities from your Snyk dashboard.
You’ve successfully connected Snyk to Strobes. From now on, your configured agent will automatically sync data based on the set frequency, keeping your vulnerability and asset information up to date.
