Introduction to Dashboards

What is a Dashboard?

A dashboard in Strobes is a visual workspace that brings your security data together in one place. 
It displays your findings, assets, risk scores, and engagement data as charts, KPIs, and tables giving you an at-a-glance view of your organization's security posture without having to dig through individual records.

Strobes includes a set of default dashboard templates covering the most common security reporting needs such as prioritization summaries, risk overviews, attack surface visibility, and patch and SLA compliance. Beyond the defaults, you can build fully custom dashboards using your own widgets, scoped to the exact data that matters to your team.

Dashboards can be filtered by saved asset views and findings views, exported as PDF or PNG, and scheduled for automatic email delivery making them suitable for both day-to-day monitoring and stakeholder reporting.

Who Can Use Dashboards?

Any user who has been granted access to the Strobes platform can view dashboards. This includes:

• Owner: can view, create, edit, and delete all dashboards and widgets across the organization.
• Managers: can view, create, edit and delete the dashboards and widgets within their scope.
• Members: can view dashboards and apply filters to explore the data.

Custom dashboards and widgets created under Settings > Dashboards are available organization-wide. 
Any user with the appropriate role can add them to their workspace.

If you cannot see a dashboard or the option to create one, check with your administrator to confirm your role permissions.

Strobes provides a great number of meaningful insights to help you understand various security aspects of your organization with regard to vulnerability management. Your leadership team will gain a new perspective through many different lenses.

Tips

Default templates cannot be deleted. The seven built-in templates (Risk Summary, Attack Surface, Pentesting, Assets Summary, Patch & SLA Summary, Threat Intel Summary, Prioritization Summary) are permanent. Only custom dashboards created by your team can be removed.

Widgets are preserved after deletion. If you delete a dashboard, the individual widgets that made it up are not affected. They remain in the Widgets library and can be added to new dashboards at any time.
