Sync Assets & Vulnerabilities from Tanium to Strobes
This article explains how you can sync assets and vulnerabilities from your Tanium instance to Strobes. In order to sync assets and vulnerabilities, you will have to configure Tanium credentials first. More about how to configure Tanium credentials here.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Navigate to the Tanium Connector
- Go to the Connectors section in the Strobes platform.
- Under Infrastructure Scanners, select Tanium.
2. Create a New Configuration
- Click + New Configuration (or similar button).
- Fill in the required fields:
- Configuration Name – Give your config a clear name.
- Tanium Credential – Select the credential you've previously configured.
- Click Next to continue.
3. Set Agent and Sync Frequency
- In the next step:
- Choose Agent as Strobes Default Agent.
- Set the Sync Frequency (e.g., Daily, Weekly) based on how often you want the data to update.
- Click Next.
4. (Optional) Add Tracking & Notification Tools
- If you’d like to integrate with a tracking or notification tool (e.g., Jira, Slack), select the appropriate configurations here.
- Click Submit to finish setup.
5. Start Syncing
- Your configuration is now ready.
- To manually trigger the sync, click Sync Now.
- Strobes will begin fetching the latest assets and vulnerabilities from your Tanium instance.
