Transfer Connector Configurations

In Strobes, some connectors—like scan tools—require a Credential Manager configuration to perform scans or syncs. If you have multiple credential manager configurations set up for the same connector and want to consolidate them under a single configuration, you can use the Transfer option.

When to Use This?

You should use the Transfer feature when:

• Multiple credential managers are linked to the same connector (e.g., two AWS configs used for Prowler).
• You want to assign all scan or sync jobs to a single, unified credential manager.

Steps to Transfer a Connector Configuration

1. Go to Settings
   Navigate to Settings → Credential Manager.
2. Choose the Source Credential Manager
   Identify and click on the credential manager configuration you want to transfer from.
   
3. Click on ‘Transfer’
   You'll see the Transfer button next to the selected configuration—click it.
4. Select the Destination Credential Manager
   From the list, choose the credential manager configuration you want to transfer to.
   
5. Confirm the Transfer
   Click Confirm to complete the transfer.

In this case we have used the AWS credential manager configuration as an example. The first credential manager configuration was used to create a prowler scan configuration and the second credential manager configuration was used to create another prowler scan configuration. After the transfer was complete, the second credential manager configuration is now responsible for both the prowler scan configurations.
