Smart Close Vulnerabilities

The Smart Close feature in Strobes helps you keep your vulnerability data clean and up to date by automatically resolving vulnerabilities that are no longer detected in the latest scans or reports.

 What Does Smart Close Do?

Smart Close compares the results from your most recent scan or report with the previous one. If a vulnerability was present earlier but is no longer detected, Strobes will automatically change its status to ‘Resolved’.

 When is Smart Close Triggered?

You can enable Smart Close in two scenarios:

  1. During Scan Imports
When you import scan results from integrated scanners, Strobes checks for any vulnerabilities that were found in earlier scans but are now missing. These get auto-marked as resolved.
  2. During Report Imports
Similarly, while importing reports (e.g., from Nexpose, Burp Suite, etc.), Strobes compares the current report’s findings with older ones. Any previously reported vulnerabilities not found in the new report are automatically moved to the ‘Resolved’ state.

Why Use Smart Close?

  • Reduce false positives and outdated findings
  • Improve visibility into your actual current risk
  • Save time on manual cleanup
