How to merge assets?

The Merge Assets feature allows you to combine duplicate or overlapping assets into one. This helps maintain a clean and accurate asset inventory while preserving associated vulnerabilities and connector configurations.

When to Use This?

Use this feature when:

You identify duplicate entries of the same asset.

You want to consolidate vulnerability data and connector setups into a single asset.

Steps to Merge Assets

1. Navigate to the Assets Page
Go to the Assets section from the left-hand menu.

2. Select the Asset to Keep
Click on the asset you want to retain as the primary record.

3. Open the Merge Option
Scroll down to locate the Linked Assets card.
Click on the Merge Asset button.

4. Choose Assets to Merge
A pop-up will appear.
Select the assets you want to merge into the primary one and click Okay.

5. Merge Confirmation
Once confirmed, the selected assets will be merged into the chosen asset.
All vulnerabilities and connector configurations from the merged assets will now reflect under the primary asset.

Important Notes

Merging assets is a permanent action.

The asset you start the merge from becomes the primary asset.

Ensure the assets selected are truly duplicates before confirming the merge.
